Process
To
design this logo, VIP, I used Photoshop. Photoshop enabled me to use
the shape tools and various other tools to create the logo to a professional standard. I used Photoshop's tools and devices
to, piece by piece, develop my design. There
were various fonts i could have used to design the VIP characters, however I decided to
create the letters VIP with different shapes, triangles and rectangles using the shape tools. A
combination of the coloured rectangles and a few triangles make
up the font for my logo. To begin with, I created a triangle using the custom shape tool and drew a large triangle as the background of the logo. To create the
'V', I used the custom shape tool again to draw another triangle; after this i used the paint bucket tool to colour the shape in a gold colour. To create the 'I' for VIP; I used the shape tools to draw a rectangle and then the custom shape tool to draw a small triangle to place on the top edge of the rectangle. The triangle sitting on the top of the rectangle creates the look of the dotted 'i' in a normal font, although with the logo's edgy twist. I used the shape again tool to
draw another tall rectangle to create the first part of the letter 'P' and the custom shape tool to draw a triangle; I rotated it and then joined it to the right hand side of the rectangle. This created the 'P' shape in the style of font the family of logo's are designed in.

Decisions
I made various decisions whilst designing the VIP logo, for example, I decided to create the characters myself with different shapes and tools, rather than adjusting a chosen font.
Revisions
I made no revisions to my design. I enjoyed designing this log and was very happy when I was able to design an accurate representation of my designs on Photoshop.
What Went Well?
My VIP design was extremely similar to my hand drawn designs. Also, the final design is edgy and sharp; an exciting design for the genre of music the radio station would play.
Even Better If?
I think my design would be even better if the characters were more in line and more proportionate to each other.
